I've been reading a little coffee table book of some choice words by Dr. Dobson, and just
flipping through there, every page is just like one sentence, and I flipped over one
page one day and it read something like this, don't mistake God's apparent inactivity for
his absence.
And at the bottom it says, Lo, I am with thee always, until the end of the earth.
And for me, that is something that I was reminded of, a biblical truth that sometimes was very
easy for me to think I was forgotten, or because I could not see the hand of God right now
in my life, that maybe I wasn't a priority, or maybe I had done something to be in his
His disgrace, his disapproval, and so I earmark that page and I go back to that very often
as something that I need to remind myself of, that God's always got something cooking
and stirring, and just to trust that when I don't see his hand, that I know he still
loves me and he's working all things to my good.
I run, I fall, I walk, I sometimes fall.
I give, I take, I bend and yet somehow I break.
I get dizzy from all this spinning round.
Undetermined, I wonder where I'm bound.
I've learned to follow the sweet, familiar sound of your voice.
The straight and narrow, twist and turns, I make my way out.
Every day I live I learn to follow you.
You walk me through a maze of things.
I stand, I sway, I reach for you, I push away.
I'm spent, I'm saved, I disobey, yet I behave.
In my personal struggle to break free, the only piece for the puzzle that I need
