new album, This Is Eli Young Band, Greatest Hits.
And this next song that we're going to play, it's significant for the band because it was
their first Top 20 hit.
It was on their Jet Black and Jealous album.
And the guys say not only was it their first Top 20 hit, but they feel like this song called
Always the Love Songs creates an interesting discovery process for some of their later
fans who hadn't heard this song from early on in their career.
Always the Love Songs is the first song that we really heard on the radio everywhere and
all over the country, and it never gets old, but you know, it's like, holy cow, we're getting
airplay everywhere.
A lot of folks that hear us live, it's almost like they didn't realize that that song was
our song because it was before the big hits, but it was played enough on radio, people
were familiar with it.
And it's funny because it happens a lot.
People say, I didn't even realize that that was y'all.
Now with the Greatest Hits record, maybe they'll realize.
