As I travel along
On the Jericho road
Does the world seem all wrong
And heavier low
Just bring it to Christ
Your sins all confess
On the Jericho road
Your heart will be blessed
On the Jericho road
There's room for just two
No more and no less
Just Jesus and you
Each burden he'll bear
Each sorrow he'll bear
Each sorrow he'll share
There's never a care
There's never a care
For Jesus is there
For Jesus is there
Oh brother to you
This message I bring
Though hope may be gone
Though hope may be gone
Though hope may be gone
We'll cause you to sing
We'll cause you to sing
At Jesus' command
At Jesus' command
Sin shackles must fall
Sin shackles must fall
On the Jericho road
On the Jericho road
Will you answer his call
Will you answer his call
On the Jericho road
On the Jericho road
There's room for just two
There's room for just two
No more and no less
No more and no less
Just Jesus and you
Each burden he'll bear
Each sorrow he'll share
There's never a care
For Jesus is there
On the Jericho Road
I remember the first network television country music show
that was hosted by the late and great Red Foley.
And I'm sure that you will remember the Ozark Jubilee
that came from Springfield, Missouri.
It was truly a great show,
and one of the highlights I looked forward to each week
was the recitation from the old master, Red.
One of his many great selections
was a story of surveillance
in Savannah, Georgia
and a little Negro funeral.
On the Jericho road
Does the world seem all wrong
And heavier low
Just bring it to Christ
Your sins all confess
On the Jericho road
Your heart will be blessed
On the Jericho road
There's room for just two
No more and no less
Just Jesus and you
Each burden he'll bear
Each sorrow he'll bear
Each sorrow he'll share
There's never a care
There's never a care
For Jesus is there
For Jesus is there
Oh brother to you
This message I bring
Though hope may be gone
Though hope may be gone
Though hope may be gone
We'll cause you to sing
We'll cause you to sing
At Jesus' command
At Jesus' command
Sin shackles must fall
Sin shackles must fall
On the Jericho road
On the Jericho road
Will you answer his call
Will you answer his call
On the Jericho road
On the Jericho road
There's room for just two
There's room for just two
No more and no less
No more and no less
Just Jesus and you
Each burden he'll bear
Each sorrow he'll share
There's never a care
For Jesus is there
