We are talking to Sheryl Crow today about her new album Threads which is out now and you know if it
wasn't Sheryl Crow we might think she was just dropping some amazing names but she in her own
right is an incredible talent that's why so many people agreed to work with her on this new album
including Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones and they sing a song together called The Worst
which was actually around for a while so Sheryl tell me about The Worst. The Worst is a song I've
wanted to do forever it's to me one of the great country songs even though I don't know that people
listen to it and go oh that should have been on country radio it should have it was a Keith
Richards song and I actually wanted to record it for my country record years ago so when I was
making this record and because I love Keith and because Keith has been I don't even know what to
say about him he's been so important to me through my career the Stones in general have championed me
I mean they invited me to sing with them in early early days and he's always called me
little sister I've been out to his house and collaborated with him I've played with them
he's played on my records so I called and said I want to do The Worst this song matters to me and
can we do it with you so we went to New York we spent two days in the studio and it was a blast
and he played everything except for drums and we just had a wonderful time I mean the guy is he's
Keith Richards he's exactly who you think he's gonna be he is extremely brilliant he's super
funny he loves being in the studio and he's always been there for me he's always been there for me he's

he's the most generous person and it was just a blast it was one of my favorite memories of making
the record how could it not be I mean you're in a studio with one of your favorite Legends Keith
Richards and Sheryl Crow it's a song that Keith actually wrote with Mick Jagger it's called The
